Jorge RamĂrez Lamy
He is an attorney with an emphasis in Political Science and International Relations, holds a postgraduate specialization in Political Studies, and earned a Master’s degree in Public Affairs & Human Services in the United States. He brings more than 15 years of professional experience leading social programs, community development projects, and institutional strengthening strategies across governmental, academic, and community-based settings.
Throughout his career, he has designed and implemented high-impact social and legislative interventions that have directly benefited hundreds of thousands of individuals, with a particular focus on families, vulnerable communities, and the strengthening of the social fabric.
He has held strategic leadership positions within national and local government entities in his country of origin, Colombia, where he distinguished himself through the optimization of public services, the improvement of citizen service delivery systems, the implementation of accessibility-focused approaches, and the achievement of measurable results in institutional efficiency, regulatory compliance, and public trust. His experience includes coordinating multidisciplinary teams, supervising personnel, managing specialized volunteers, and producing bilingual technical reports grounded in data analysis and impact indicators.
In the academic field, Jorge RamĂrez Lamy also serves as a university professor at both undergraduate and graduate levels in the United States, teaching courses in human services, public management, strategic planning, community development, and social policy. His pedagogical approach emphasizes competency-based learning, critical thinking, and the practical application of knowledge.
As the founder and leader of NFSN-USA, his strategic vision is focused on building a national, preventive, and coordinated family strengthening model capable of complementing and enhancing existing systems in the United States and Puerto Rico, promoting more resilient communities, stronger families, public policies with a human-centered, sustainable, and evidence-based approach, as well as long-term cultural transformation processes.
Piedad Arango Pinilla
Piedad Arango Pinilla serves as Director of the Timely Action Line and Projects at the National Family Strengthening Network – USA (NFSN-USA), where she leads the design, coordination, and implementation of intervention strategies focused on early response, family rehabilitation, and relationship strengthening.
She is a licensed psychologist with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a postgraduate specialization in Project Management earned in the United States.
Her professional background combines clinical psychological intervention with strong expertise in project design, execution, and evaluation, particularly in initiatives related to family strengthening and relational well-being.
She has extensive experience in clinical practice, psychosocial intervention, and the development of research projects addressing family dynamics, prevention, and resilience.
Piedad Arango Pinilla has worked with government institutions and multidisciplinary teams in the public sector, contributing to the design and implementation of evidence-based programs aimed at improving individual and family outcomes.
In the academic sphere, she has served as a teaching assistant at a North American university, supporting undergraduate and graduate-level instruction and contributing to academic research and applied learning environments.
She is widely recognized for her practical, compassionate, and human-centered approach, with a professional focus on the rehabilitation of relationships as a foundational pillar for healthy families and a strong, cohesive society.

Dr. David Hormachea
Honorary Strategic Advisor
Dr. David Hormachea is a distinguished author, international speaker, educator, family counselor, and social researcher with more than five decades of experience dedicated to strengthening families, promoting human development, and fostering healthy relationships.
Originally from Chile and currently residing in the United States, he has developed an extensive international career focused on supporting individuals, couples, parents, and communities through educational programs, conferences, publications, counseling processes, and training resources centered on prevention, family well-being, and personal growth.
Throughout his career, he has impacted thousands of people through educational initiatives, radio and television programs, courses, books and audiobooks, digital content, and training events conducted across various countries in the Americas and Europe.
His work has been characterized by providing practical tools to strengthen family relationships, promote effective communication, and contribute to the development of healthier and more resilient family environments.
Dr. Hormachea is the Founder and President of the family assistance organization “De Regreso al Hogar” (“Back Home”), where he works tirelessly to support and strengthen families. He has also led international initiatives focused on leadership development, the creation of healthy communities, and the promotion of values that contribute to family and social stability.
His academic background includes specialized studies in leadership, ministry training, and human development. He holds a Master of Arts in Ministry from Talbot Seminary at Biola University and a Doctor of Divinity degree awarded by Biola University. In 2024, he received an Honorary Doctorate (Doctor Honoris Causa) from George Whitefield College (England) in recognition of his extensive contributions to education and family strengthening.
He is the author of numerous works on marriage, parenting, family relationships, personal development, sexuality, communication, and emotional well-being. Several of his publications have received international recognition and were selected as finalists for the prestigious Gold Medallion Book Awards presented by the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association (ECPA).

CĂ©sar Augusto Chaves Avella is a business consultant, certified Life & Executive Coach, transformational leadership facilitator, and performing arts professional.
He has developed a strong career integrating coaching, experiential learning, leadership development, and artistic methodologies to support personal growth, family strengthening, organizational transformation, and cultural change.
With more than a decade of experience designing and implementing strategies for awareness, empowerment, family strengthening, occupational well-being, and transformational leadership, CĂ©sar has worked with social, academic, business, and community-based organizations, bringing a practical and deeply human approach to prevention, education, and sustainable transformation.
As Coordinator of the Prevention and Cultural Transformation Action Lines at NFSN-USA, CĂ©sar supports the design and implementation of educational, preventive, and cultural strategies aimed at strengthening families, promoting healthy relationships, encouraging personal responsibility, and inspiring communities toward values – based transformation.
His work contributes to NFSN-USA’s mission of preventing family breakdown, restoring hope, and promoting a culture of family resilience across communities.

Sonia Andrea RamĂrez Lamy serves as Coordinator of Strategic Partnerships and Media Impact at National Family Strengthening Network – USA, where she supports the strengthening of the organization’s institutional presence, engagement with key allies, and public visibility.
She has experience in digital marketing, corporate communications, public relations, social media management, visual content development, and coordination of institutional events.
Her work integrates brand strategy, storytelling, audiovisual documentation, media management, and stakeholder communication, helping ensure that NFSN-USA’s message reaches communities, partners, institutions, and digital audiences in a clear, human, and effective way.
Sonia Andrea is an attorney with academic training in Political Science and International Relations. She is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Brand Management and Digital Marketing in the United States, strengthening her skills in branding, digital strategy, audience analysis, and institutional positioning.
At NFSN-USA, her work focuses on building strategic bridges with organizations, community leaders, media outlets, public institutions, private entities, and mission-aligned partners. Through her experience in communications and media impact, she contributes to increasing visibility for the organization’s mission: strengthening families, restoring hope, and promoting healthier communities through prevention, timely action, applied research, and cultural transformation.
Her approach combines social sensitivity, communications vision, and strategic capacity to project the work of NFSN-USA with professionalism, institutional coherence, and a strong sense of purpose.
Johanna Matamoros Cala
Johanna is a mentor, trainer, and family educator who is passionate about strengthening the home as the place where the leaders who transform society are born.
For more than two decades, she has accompanied women, married couples, parents, and communities through processes of personal growth, inner healing, functional parenting, homeschooling, spiritual intelligence, women’s leadership, and home management, integrating principles, character, and purpose to help form emotionally and spiritually healthy generations.
As a Community Transformational Leader and Coach, certified by the Miami Leadership University in Florida, she has combined her experience in leadership, coaching, and family formation with a strong background in administrative leadership, project management, educational process organization, and coordination of high-impact events. She stands out for her ability to serve, organize, lead teams, and accompany processes of human transformation.
She is currently part of the leadership team of the National Family Strengthening Network (NFSN), an international organization dedicated to strengthening families through preventive models, leadership development, community formation, and social impact strategies. From this role, she promotes initiatives focused on prevention, family strengthening, leader training, and the development of networks that foster more resilient and healthier communities, aligned with the mission of generating sustainable well-being for families and future generations.
Her mission is to help women discover that the home is not a limitation to their development, but rather the setting where the most influential form of leadership is exercised.
Through mentorships, trainings, and accompaniment processes, she inspires mothers, wives, educators, and leaders to strengthen their identity, develop spiritual intelligence, heal from within, educate with purpose, and build families capable of positively influencing society.
